Who are Pumping Marvellous?

The Pumping Marvellous Foundation are the UK’s patient-led Heart Failure charity. We help people to live well with Heart Failure by delivering free educational materials to NHS teams across the country and through accessible digital channels on our website and social media. We offer a peer-to-peer support group for patients and carers, raise awareness of Heart Failure on a national level to millions of people, and we provide valuable patient insights that have helped to improve the standard and shape the future of Heart Failure care.

Why fundraise for us?

When you choose to fundraise for Pumping Marvellous you are fundraising for 1 million people living with Heart Failure across the UK. You’re fundraising for the 200,000 people that will be diagnosed with Heart Failure each year. You’re fundraising to help us raise awareness with our BEAT HF campaign and to deliver free Heart Health events across the country providing crucial early diagnosis to people who need it. Most importantly you’re fundraising to enable us to educate people, empowering them to self-manage their condition, and to understand that a Heart Failure diagnosis does not mean the end of their life. So far to date we have held 14 BEAT Healthy Heart events and seen over 5,500 people. With your help we can continue to BEAT Heart Failure together.

What is the BEAT campaign?

Our BEAT campaign puts the symptoms of Heart Failure front and centre and makes them easy to recognise and remember. When people can recognise these symptoms in themselves or in someone else then that person can seek a diagnosis and begin the appropriate treatment and management. This means that they can manage their symptoms and start to live well.
